Starting in 2026…
I am a certified group psychotherapist, and member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association. I have specialized experience leading groups for people recovering from eating disorders and body image issues, both in the context of intensive treatment programs and in my private practice.
I am passionate about the healing power of groups, and have experienced this first-hand as a member of Systems-Centered, Modern Analytic and Internal Family Systems training groups:
Systems-Centered Therapy (SCT) is a psychotherapeutic and organizational approach that focuses on understanding and transforming the systemic patterns—both within individuals and groups—that limit growth and effectiveness. SCT uses techniques like functional subgrouping and exploring boundaries to help people integrate differences, reduce defensive reactions, and increase the system’s overall capacity for development and change.
Modern Analytic Group Therapy is a contemporary form of psychoanalytic group therapy that emphasizes using the group’s emotional and relational dynamics to promote insight, self-expression, and healing. The therapist helps members recognize and work through unconscious patterns and resistances—especially those affecting connection and communication—to foster greater emotional awareness and interpersonal growth.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy applies the IFS model—viewing the mind as a system of “parts” organized around a core Self—within a group setting. Members explore their inner parts while witnessing others’ processes, fostering self-leadership, compassion, and connection. The group context amplifies healing by providing shared insight, resonance, and supportive witnessing as each person works toward greater internal harmony.
